Lamb chops à la Spanish
Last time I went to the butcher they had some very good looking lamb chops and I decided to buy four. But what to do with them?
Searching through my cookbooks, I found this recipe in the School of brides. It's very tasty but I put too much wine in it, 3 glasses of it (450ml!). It really only needs one..
Serves: 2 persons.
Ingredients:
- 4 lamb chops
- salt & pepper to taste
- paprika to taste
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 150ml white wine
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- parsley to taste, chopped
- olive oil to taste
- 1 red pepper, sliced
Method:
- Marinate the chops in salt, pepper and paprika to taste, garlic and white wine. Let it marinate over night or for at least 3-5 hours, flipping them half way through so that both sides get the same marinating time. Way to much wine as you can see!
- Sweat the onion and parsley in olive oil.
- Add the chops, the marinade and the sliced pepper and let them cook about 5-10 min each side.
- Serve with mashed potatoes.
