Lamb chops à la Spanish

Last time I went to the butcher they had some very good looking lamb chops and I decided to buy four. But what to do with them?

Searching through my cookbooks, I found this recipe in the School of brides. It's very tasty but I put too much wine in it, 3 glasses of it (450ml!). It really only needs one..

Serves: 2 persons.

Ingredients:

  • 4 lamb chops
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • paprika to taste
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 150ml white wine
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • parsley to taste, chopped
  • olive oil to taste
  • 1 red pepper, sliced
Method:
  1. Marinate the chops in salt, pepper and paprika to taste, garlic and white wine. Let it marinate over night or for at least 3-5 hours, flipping them half way through so that both sides get the same marinating time. Way to much wine as you can see!


  2. Sweat  the onion and parsley in olive oil.


  3. Add the chops, the marinade and the sliced pepper and let them cook about 5-10 min each side.


  4. Serve with mashed potatoes.
